What is your EDUCATIONAL GOAL at Bakersfield College?
AA/AS Degree: An associate degree requires the completion of 60 required general education, major and elective units with a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
Transfer (to a 4-Year College): You can complete the first two years of “lower division” coursework required to earn a bachelor’s degree then transfer as a junior to a four year college or university. You can earn an Associate Degree for Transfer (AA-T or AS-T) and transfer with a guaranteed admission to a university or you can transfer without earning an associate degree.
Certificate of Achievement/Job Skills Certificate: A certificate of achievement, which is not a college degree, may be earned in certain majors by completing all major requirements plus math, English, and computer science competencies. These programs focus mostly on preparation for a specific occupation.
